Three Rangers Who Are Exceeding Expectations in 2026

3. Ezequiel Duran

Duran, who turns 27 today, showed some potential with the Rangers in 2023, but has mostly struggled as a part-time player ever since. In 2026, however, he is enjoying his best season to date, slashing .295 / .352 / .488 (150 OPS+) while filling in at second, third, short, right, and left. He is making a real case to be an American League all-star.

2. Jacob Latz

Despite a concerning velocity dip in spring training that likely contributed to his demotion to the bullpen, Jacob Latz has shone in a relief capacity, taking over as the Rangers closer with five saves. He has cut his walk rate in half from last season and currently sports a career best 1.90 ERA. Opposing batters are hitting a paltry .113 against Latz in 2026.

1. Kumar Rocker

After years of inconsistency, Rocker is finally starting to show off the form that made him one of baseball's top pitching prospects a couple seasons ago. He has trimmed his ERA from 5.74 in 2025 to 3.60 in 2026, making him a solid option at the back of the Rangers rotation.
